Ichnusa Non Filtrata beer

Again about the new stuff from Globus. The selection of imported beers there has decreased a lot, but something new has started to appear again. Italian beer Ichnusa Non Filtrata. Italians have always been good in terms of design. The bottle clearly stands out on the shelf and intrigues. The price is 230 rubles, but Italian beer has always been not only beautiful but also expensive.

The Ichnusa brewery is brewed in Assemini, a town near Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. It has been in operation since 1912 and has been owned by Heineken since 1986. The assortment is small, just four items.

Ichnusa Non Filtrata (Italy, Assemini) – 5/11,2 As the name suggests, this beer is unfiltered. Untappd lists it as Kellerbier (aka Zwickelbier), which is correct. The aroma has light citrus and a bit of basement. The taste is malty, but a bit dry. In the aftertaste, a bit of a yeasty note and a slight hop to the flowers and grass.

Not a bad zwickel, especially for a mass-produced beer. No flaws, easy to drink, refreshing – what more is needed for this style. That said, you can’t say this beer is faceless. Rating “B”.
